So I opened a .doc attachment and without thinking proceeded to begin modifying. I saved along the way, and then saved before I quit word.
I then realized I had opened the attachment from OE, rather than save to disk and then start editing.
I opened the file again and it looked like it did when I first recieved it.
Am I screwed? 4/10/2007 4:58:53 PM |

open it up again directly from Outlook Express. Go to "Save As", and make a note of where the default location is that it will save to. This is probably an OE Temp or OE Attachements folder or something. DO NO complete the "Save As" operation or it will overwrite your old one. Instead, cancel and close it, then navigate to that folder in Windows Explorer. 4/10/2007 5:01:36 PM |

its in your temp folder somewhere. probably with a name like 2352ed123d3gsdfasf.doc or some shit.
Search documents and settings\yourusername for .doc files and start hunting. 4/10/2007 5:05:13 PM |
