called my dads urologist, he says to come in if it doesnt clear up in a few days. he said that it may be possible that back trauma caused it, but whatever the problem at my age i shouldn't be immediately concerned. apparently its fairly common.

and if i went anywhere it would be to my doctor, or if i felt a real sense of urgency to an urgent care. er's are for traumas.

Yeah, I would avoid the ER if the doc says not to worry about it right now. The ER is a great place to get MRSA or a cold or any other fun and exciting illness that you really don't need on top of everything else.

Good luck! Hope it clears up, but do go see your regular doctor if the problem persists.
