NCSU recently licensed WebDrive for all NCSU folks to use. WebDrive allows you to make an SFTP share to a drive. This is a much simpler solution than AFS/Wolfcall on personal computers.

it's cool that they're making it simpler for average users to access their stuff
i've been using WinSCP (free SFTP/FTP/SCP client) for a few months already, so i'll probably stick with that

openAFS and krb still rock, but this should make it easier for people who have no clue what they're doing.
p.s.: wolfcall is the biggest piece of shit, configure openafs/krb yourself and you will be much happier. 4/21/2007 7:57:56 PM |
