I copied my phonebook entires to my phone from my sim card. I told the razr to override duplicate numbers, but it made copies so now I have two of each entry. It looks like one is stored on the phone itself and one is on the sim. I was hoping to find a way to stop the sim card numbers from appearing without deleting them all one by one. 4/24/2007 10:26:26 PM |

is there not an option to delete all the numbers on just the sim? 4/25/2007 12:20:00 AM |

why not delete the numbers from the phone memory and keep them on the sim? 4/25/2007 12:46:23 AM |

on some phones it's a pain in the ass to keep more than one number for each person if you keep the SIM ones instead of the phone's internal memory ones... I can't remember how it is on the razr but on most phones there is an option to only show the numbers from the SIM memory or phone's memory or both, see if the razr has that. Otherwise, delete one or the other..preferably keep them on the sim if possible. 4/25/2007 12:50:26 AM |

I can't find an option to delete all on the sim. I would prefer to do this and keep the ones on the phone since you are allowed more options when you create numbers on the phone vs on the sim. 4/25/2007 7:12:00 AM |

yea thats what i was getting at..the only problem is if your phone gets f'ed then there go all your numbers..if kept on the sim then not so much 4/25/2007 12:33:56 PM |

1. Find an older Nokia or LG Cingular phone 2. Go into phone menu, and go to phonebook/delete/all from sim 3. profit. 4/25/2007 12:50:20 PM |

Hmmm, that would work. A friend of mine has the same issue with duplicate numbers, anyone else with a razr have this issue? 4/25/2007 1:08:50 PM |

All Cingular Razrs do that. Sony ericsson lets you decide which directory to display as your phonebook. Its not so much a phone issue as it is poor engineering on Motorola's part. 4/25/2007 5:34:09 PM |

yeah razr is a piece compared to some of the new sony ericsson stuff, but then a lot of people with razrs just do it for its popularity. personally I couldn't care less if my phone is slim but wide 4/25/2007 6:23:06 PM |

yea that's why razr's suck horribly.. they haven't advanced their gui or phonebook app's in a long long time. Sony ericsson gives you full control over which contacts you use, as well as deleting/backing up to memory stick etc.. 5/1/2007 3:45:40 PM |
