it seems like every driver available for d/l isn't the full deal. Remote doesn't work, THX settings not there, hell barely any support for 5.1 let alone 7.1

am i missing vital shit by d/l the 40MB drivers? Is there a full version floating on one of their FTP's?

I've been using kX drivers because they're superior for recording, but i want to test out EAX and shit on some crazy PC games.

thoughts?

I assume you're looking here?

http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download.asp?MainCategory=1&nRegionFK=&nCountryFK=&nLanguageFK=&sOSName=Windows+XP®ion=1&Product_Name=Audigy+2+ZS+Platinum&Product_ID=9107&modelnumber=&driverlang=1033&OS=10&drivertype=0&x=27&y=15

The drivers creative offers on their site are intended to update the drivers you already have on the CDs that came with your specific product. They aren't meant to stand alone which is why the online one leave things non-functioning. To get everything to work, you have to install the drivers given to you on the CD (despite any warnings you might get telling you that it's a bad idea) and then updaet everything using the online files. I don't know why creative does this, but they do it for just about everything.

Yeah, I pretty much realized this is the problem. However, I lost my CD's some time ago and basically I was trying to find an image online >.<

Now I can't get my fucking 360 optical out ~> audigy ZS in to make any sounds other than obnoxious CD-skipping noises.

i think my onboard SC has optical in, maybe that will rule out driver issues

anyway, if anyone has the ability to make an iso image of the driver disk(s) and host somewhere fast ill throw you like 5 bucks paypal

JUST deleted it off my hd. upgraded to x-fi a few months back. x-fi doesnt require original.

make sure you're downloading the full driver set from creative... shouldn't need the cd anymore i thought (40+mb)

i mean, it WORKS, just doesn't seem like it's ever as feature rich as it was when i installed from the CD. Like the THX config utility, the remote functionality, etc.

use their autoupdater feature (you'll need to use IE) and then DL everything that comes up. that should set you straight.
