i asked them f00lz yesterday if they could match a c-clip or a snap ring to a master cylinder i brought with me or if they sell assortment boxes of those.
They replied that they dont have any of that and proceded to tell me that "a machine shop would probably able to help me out"
at least they didnt try to upsell me some cashews this time.
i had to go all the way to Vatozone. at least those guys make it foolproof by hangin assortment boxes on the racks in the hardware section.

I went in there looking for some NGK plugs for a Jeep Liberty and they tried to sell me some platinum Champion plugs for about the same price because the NGK's weren't in stock. Plus, they tried to tell me that Champions are OEM for Chrysler products and that "put some Champions in there and it'll run like it was designed to." Trouble is, NGK's are OEM plugs on the newer Chryslers...
Unrelated, 80000 miles is far too long for standard NGK v-power plugs that came in the jeep when they bought it... 5/3/2007 2:27:32 AM |

This is a VERY COMMON yet very ignorant adage among mechanics and parts counterpeople. Sure, the older Chrysler products used Champion waaaay back in the day, but like Poe87 said, you'll more often than not find NGK in them now.
Same for Ford and Autolite, though Motorcraft plugs are very often rebadged Autolite. AC Delco? Try rebadged NGK for a lot of their platinum plugs.5/3/2007 8:25:41 AM |
