My instinct says i'm crazy, but the need to play on my 22" LCD that doesn't happen to have component cables wants to believe it could work.
thoughts?
My LCD also has HDMI input :/

X2VGA 2 2.0 59.95 *1 = 59.95 Wii Component Video Cable 8.95 *1 = 8.95 S&H Fee (UPS, DHL, Fedex) 22.0 *1 = 22.0 S&H Fee for addtional items 5.0 *1 = 5.0 Total Price 95.9
Beats 6.00 for the coupler, 20 dollars for the VGA cable, and 30 for the component cable @ gamestop. Nailed on overseas shipping but the only ones on ebay are cheesy looking.
now let's just hope it's not a shitty product. 5/4/2007 8:49:25 PM |

That X2VGA really does work great, one of my friends used one for a while and it worked like a chamr and the image quality was pretty damn good. 5/4/2007 10:52:15 PM |

make sure your device is set to progressive output.

VGA has a sync on green mode, which most, but not all, VGA monitors support.

It doesn't say specifically there.
If you set up the system for progressive scan output, and hooked it up, and it didn't work, then it's probably not going to work.
This has some more info on how it works though: http://www.xbox-linux.org/wiki/Xbox_VGA_HOWTO#The_hardware 5/5/2007 1:11:53 AM |

i don't see how i can set the shit to progressive scan when all i have to work with is an LCD and a sony trinitron 480i television =\ 5/5/2007 2:27:35 AM |

You hook it up using the composite cables, go to setup menu, choose progressive scan output, display might flicker, then hook up the component cables, and it should work, if it's going to work.
I assuming you already have the lot of adapters/cables and are trying to hook up with the component cables.
