scroll down to the very bottom. it appears that the background image is masked over another background image. So when you scroll down it scrolls the second image at a different rate and is only visible in certain areas.
(i would have posted this in the SC2 thread but i figured this was more web design nerd related then gaming nerd stuff) 5/19/2007 10:40:37 PM |

It looks like maybe it's a table with a background image that has transparency, and then just a regular fix background. 5/19/2007 10:49:34 PM |

<div style="padding:0; margin:0; background:url('http://www.starcraft2.com/images/layout/bg-planet.jpg') no-repeat; height:837px; width:893px"> <div style="padding:0; margin:0; background:url('http://www.starcraft2.com/images/layout/bg-footer2.gif') bottom no-repeat; height:837px; width:893px"> </div> </div>
something like that
you can also have the footer div be the height of the footer image and have a top margin offset of bg image height - footer image height
and probably another dozen or so ways with padding, positioning, using <img> tags instead of a div with a BG set, z-indexing, etc., etc.5/21/2007 4:06:13 PM |
