Oberlin Animal Hospital (same company as glenwood)
reasonably priced and great staff

Dr. Wages at Oberlin and Dr. Strunk at Glenwood are who I prefer

my vote would be to read over all the other vet threads
and to do that...you use the search, its there for a reason

it looks like this

[Edited on May 21, 2007 at 11:07 AM. Reason : thanks]

1. Since you did not name a vet office, your vote is not applicable
2. I got the answers I was looking for, so your greater-than-thou rant was a little late
3. You have a problem with contractions, and I don't mean the kind you get when your boyfriend
rails you.

The correct statement looks like this

"you use the search, it's there for a reason"

Thanks. Only 45,858 posts away from equaling your greatness.

tee hee.

I really liked my vet, but they are up in North Raleigh, so I doubt that's close to you.

You are assuming I am new because I have a low number of posts.

Bad assumption.

Also, look at the time between my post and the first reply. I waited a long time.

Finally, you look just like I thought you would.

Here's a hint, guy, don't wear sleeveless shirts 'cause your arms don't equate with your nickname

Crossroads Vet is great. I know the owner (family friend) and have another friend who works there as well. They are very friendly and reasonably priced. Also Mayfair in Cary is good, we take our dogs there to get groomed because their groomer is so awesome.

People tend to forget that the search function is all but useless most of the time.

Anywho, elise and I work at Mayfair in Cary and love it there, but it IS pricey.

Gentle Care Animal Hospital is where I take my 2 Pomeranians....I think the vets there are very nice and I've never had any complaints about how they take care of my dogs.

It makes sense you've got a small dog.

Only wimpy cocksmokers pick apart informal online communication, attack folks who offer suggestions, like the point out the obvious, and get yapper dogs.

mayfair ftw, and raven is an awesome groomer with excellent prices, considering the rest of the hospital's prices

Reasons? Or should we just assume you're saying this just because you can?

It's totally pointless to try to dissuade people from patronizing a business if you can't be bothered to say why. It means there either isn't one, there isn't a good one, or (and this one can be lumped with one of the previous two) there's a personal problem there.

^ That's exactly what we do. We've always taken our dogs to Crossroads and never had anything but good experiences. However they don't have a vet on staff and my friend that works there referred us to Raven at Mayfair who grooms our dogs.

We've had issues recently with Dr. Wages, however, it was with a cat, so hopefully she's better with dogs. Regardless, I wouldn't bring any of my animals to Glenwood/Oberlin after all of this hullabaloo.

When I lived in Raleigh I took my cats to

Brentwood Animal Hospital
3810 Atlatic Ave.
Raleigh NC
872-6060

And they were pretty good for cats. I know they see dogs too because I saw several their during my trips there. I believe Unipride worked there for a while too, so she could probably speak to their dog qualifications better than I could.

Girlfriend chose Oberlin. We went over there yesterday and they gave us a tour. The staff was friendly, and the clinic was clean. The prices were decent, I guess; I'm not really sure what the range is in the area.

Just because I am prideful I will restate the fact that it is my girlfriend's dog. The dog is very CUTE, however.

a very close friend of mine has been a vet tech at Oberlin for years.

Dr. Wages has always been fantastic with my dogs and does excellent suturing (she cleaned up the messy job that the Emergency vet did when my dog was in a fight).

THEY NEGLECTED AND KILLED ONE OF OUR CATS! Is that a good enough reason for you?

You missed my point. I didn't say you didn't have a good reason. If you want or expect statements like the one you made to be considered, you need to be giving some clue as to why you're making such statements.
