This is a Digital Research 5.1 surround sound home theatre system. It handles 800 watts rms power and comes with two subs in a tower and five other speakers including a double speaker for the center channel. The subs handle 200 watts rms. I have had this system for about 2 weeks and bought it new in box. I've only used it for about 3 hours to test them out. I'm looking for about what i paid for them which is $150.00 but will accept the best offer.

those speaker are from a scam. made by some unknown company. my roommate bought some out of a van in the parking lot.

they sound like crap and the remote almost never works. he ended up buying some LG theater speakers and throwing the DR speakers in the dumpster.

I did about the same thing and bought them from a guy in a parking lot. But... that said i hooked them up to my 200 watt reciever and they sounded decent and loud. I do think they are worth atleast a hundred dollars or so... I mean hell they're better than some shitty sony's you buy from radio shack for like $150. But yes the guy was asking for $300 and i gave him $150 so i dont feel so bad but i am looking for higher end speakers than these and was hoping to recoupe some of my loss. Also I'm not sure if these speakers are the same your roommate had. They have no remote.

i love it how it says 6.1 on the box, not 5.1
the .1 is the bass channel, and the 5 is the 5 satellite speakers.
what an idiot.
i'm sure someone will get shot for that, seeing as how these are sold on the "black market".
