The album is hot. I don't usually take to new CD's without a couple of listens. I'm digging this one right out of the gate.

maybe i'm just getting old, but "Soon A New Day" and "In The Mood" are probably two of my favorite songs of the year. "In The Mood" despite Kanye's verse - would rather he had just produced the track and let Kweli and Roy Ayers handle the rest.

By the way, Roy Ayers is one of the most slept on artists by our generation. I saw him perform at a jazz lounge in Philly a couple of years ago, and watching him live is amazing. He be straight tearin' up the vibraphone! Check out "Searching", "Everyone Loves the Sunshine", "We Live In Brookyln", and "Tear to a Smile". Smoooooth....

"soon the new day," "stay around," "eat to live," and "everything man" are my favorites

there are only four skippable tracks
