my mom got bit by one of them today. I let him loose in my room and i guess he owned her ankle... 2 lil pin pricks. needless to say.. momma is pissed and they gotta go. she probz scared him...bc they never bite me.

both come with 20 gallon long cages. one is 3.5 feet or so... other is about as long but skinnier.

both are in good health and fed live

they are both red tail both about 3-5 years old. will they take f/t probably.

let me take some picz.... of them i need them gone by this weekend.

they both come with 20 gallon long setups etc... heat pad, water bowl everything u need.

also.... ronnie rubbed his nose on the cage last night (bigger guy) so he scraped some scales away but he will be fine..he's probz pissed that im getting rid of him.

he's bitten me 2x's in the 5 years i've had him. both times bc i was dumb and reached my hand in after him instead of using a hook.

the lil snake has never bitten me.

some of ronnie:

the boas get along quite well. if u got bigger cages they could easily live together except for feeding time.

so far maximadrv has the highest bid of 40 for both.

pm me for directions etc if ur interested in seeing them. i live in cary

as u can see they get along quite well (so cute!)

if u must know, the stain on my bed is from a motorcycle accident i had earlier in the week, not from the snakes. just from my bloody knees that are still healing.

that's an easy deal, throw the balls in the trash, or let them loose outside... pickup the boas.

these boa's come with everything u need to take care of them short of mice...

Pm^ replied.

im going to end the bidding sometime tomorrow. so after tonight whatever bids they go for is what they sell for.

if u cant pickup tomorrow my dad will probz take them in the backyard and chop their heads off.

lobes put in a bid of 30 for the lil guy and full setup. withdrew bid.

big guy is still at 20.

the big guy is a better handler than the lil. the lil guy is a lil more full of energy if u will but is still good to handle.

I've never needed a hook to handle non-venomous snake...their temperaments sound sketch...

thanks for the awesome input. im trying to get rid of these guys b4 my pa chops their heads off and that's what u have to say?

I refuse to give to a pet store that will sell them for 4x's the price. im trying to help out tdubbers that want to pickup a boa for cheap.

their temperaments are not sketch.. u go reachin ur hand in while a boa is sleepin' i've had many snakes in the past and they all need hooks. it's just good. i feed them in the same cage that they live in... so they think ur throwin' in a mouse and bam.

sorry to hijack your thread a bit, but if you always move them somewhere else to feed them, like the bath tub, it is far less likely they will bite you just for sticking your hand in the cage.

they have beautiful markings, btw, hope they go to a good home!!

^^^They generally grow about a foot a year if I remember correctly, so it takes awhile, and red tails can get to be about 8ft or so...

having lived with both snakes for 2 years, I can vouch for them, they're both very well tempered, even when handled by strangers. the larger is easy going and the smaller one is a bit more high strung, but not the point of being unmanageable , they're both pretty content milling about the desk when not in the cage. I've never been bitten or even struck at for that matter.
