yeah thats kind of like the JFK Warren Report being released when everyone involved in the conspiracy was basically dead (iirc)

although I'm glad that they don't reveal current dirty laundry as that would certainly have huge national security repercussions, ie, theres a difference in open government and telling the public (including your enemies) all your current secret, top secret, confidential and classified missions
