TI is terrible.

The only thing I can figure that people like him for is the catchy beats he uses.

but yea TI benefits heavily from slick production, but his popularity is mainly rooted in being heavily pushed as the "jay z of the south" and his chris brown like appeal to white chicks

he'll crank out a dope single or 5 but i think he's crazy overrated, too many skippers on this album

jay-z's verse is a direct shot at Lil Wayne.

^ Same here.

I picture a bunch of crooked record execs sitting around laughing at themselves coming up with ideas of what kinds of crappy music they can actually sell.

TI: "ok, for my next record, I wanna talk about how much money I have and the sort of decadent behavior I engage in."

Whoever makes the decisions for TI: "That's fine, I think that will sell well. But don't you think it's a little played out as a theme?"

TI: "I know, I'll disguise it as an epic struggle with myself. It'll be deep and shit, yo."

Whoever makes the decisions for TI: "werd."

I wanna see T.I. vs. Garth Brooks and the winner can fight the winner of the T.I.P. vs. Chris Gaines match

and the winner can take on the winner of the Arsenio Hall vs. Chunky A fight

hell, i'm not a huge fan of this album, but it's still better than most rap being released these days. some of the songs have grown on me, especially "tell 'em i said that". but yeah, still plenty of songs that should be skipped.

and i think TI's appeal is primarily due to his flow and cadence - he raps about the same stuff everyone raps about, it's just more interesting to hear TI tell it.
