Does anyone have any recommendations on a good dentists in Raleigh. I never seem to make it back home to charlotte long enough to get an appointment in with the family dentist. Been almost two years so i'm a little past-due figured might as well go up here while still under mom's dental insurance. 7/17/2007 7:02:04 PM |

Dr. Jones 5613 Duraleigh Road Suite 121 Raleigh, NC 27612 919-835-1710
They take BCBS and I have only been once but I loved it. My dad is a dentist in Maryland so I never went to another dentist. Now that I am living in Raleigh I needed to find one and went there. They were on time, up front about costs of fillings I needed, gentle, kind, and friendly. I think they also do sedation if you are very nervous on certain procedures. 7/17/2007 7:10:26 PM |

The dentist by the Whole Foods is great. And no up front cost or additional costs above what insurance pays. 7/17/2007 8:08:50 PM |

His office is near campus. He isn't an old fart. He uses the latest technology. He knows everything going on in Raleigh so makes great conversation. He doesn't completely book his days so there is always a slot for emergency work. 7/17/2007 9:49:42 PM |

Dr. Chris Martin,
His office is at the shopping center on the corner of Duraleigh and Edwards Mill Rd.
I promise you he is the best dentist I've ever had in my life. He's done 2 fillings and two crowns, I've never felt a thing, not even the first shot. He's young, his hands are steady, he's really nice, and his assistants are HOT
also his secretary (NOT HOT) is really nice about helping you with your insurance.
His prices are standard though.
Filling = $200
Checkup+Cleaning+Xrays =$120
Ceramic or Porcelin crown = $1200 (not covered by my insurance ) 7/17/2007 10:11:50 PM |

Agreed on Dr. Freeman on Wade Ave by Whole Foods. I actually started going to him a few years ago when I dropped my dental plan because his 'out of pocket' prices were much better than my previous dentist. I have nothing but good things to say about him thus far. 7/17/2007 10:52:24 PM |

This thread will hopefully motivate me to go. I need to but I have been dreading it and putting it off for a couple of years which makes me even more nervous. 7/18/2007 8:54:08 AM |

I go to Don B. Freeman
He's pretty cool as far as his work is concerned. He may be getting a little old though. 7/18/2007 1:46:50 PM |

His glasses are like an inch thick. It's so nerdy that it looks cool. I bet those things are bulletproof they are so thick.

I go to Dr. Julian Drew off of Six forks Rd right across from the Honey baked ham company. He got his BS in ChemE from State then went to UNC for dentistry. 7/18/2007 7:09:12 PM |

I don't have a dentist in Raleigh. My family dentist is the last one I've been to (Fairmont, NC), and I can't go there, too far away. Yes, they are giving me problems. I've been in so much pain from it the past two weeks. 7/25/2007 8:23:16 AM |

I took the advice of this thread and choose Dr. Freeman (first trip to the dentist in 6 years) and made an appointment.
I was very pleased with everything and will be going back to his practice for regular cleanings/checkups from now on.8/26/2007 11:02:48 PM |

Donn Freeman's office was too busy to get me in within the next two weeks, so I called Chris Martin two days ago saying I needed an appointment with only two weeks notice b/c I'm leaving the country. They had me in for a cleaning the very next day and saw that a filling needed to be replaced. They scheduled me for the next day again (today). Don't know about all the HOTness that dharney was talking about, but they were really friendly and helpful. I'd recommend them. 8/30/2007 1:39:50 PM |
