here's to hoping someone on here might have an answer

standard Symbol MC9090 - when the barcode is scanned it's not interpreting the tab correctly

there is a barcode that should be scanned as 12345 54321

but when scanned with the 9090 it's coming back as 12345$I54321

the scanner does not seem to be treating the $I as a TAB as it should

After some checking, $I tab would be a Code 39 format, I think. So perhaps it's attempting to use the 128 Symbology to decode? Just a thought...

it was set to use the code39 symbology - however one of the parameters was not set correctly for that symbology

We used to have some of the Symbol R2-D2 looking scanners that we interfaced with. First stop for any of them with a problem was to reprogram them from scratch using the flip book with all the barcodes in it.
