I've searched all the wedding topics, but I'm looking specifically around the Winston-Salem area because we're getting married in King, NC. Anyone from that area who can provide helpful information, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks! 8/6/2007 10:19:42 PM |

My friend got married at Old Town Baptist Church and had her reception at a country club not too far away, and it was nice. I know that probably doesn't help much, but I will check with her on the name because I can't remember it right now! 8/7/2007 12:20:44 AM |

Tanglewood Manor House, SECCA, Graylyn, all depends on your budget.
^^ Old Town CC. There is also Forsyth CC and Pine Brook CC. Pine Brook wouldn't be too far from King.

Those are all great ideas. Are there any places that allow you to choose your own catering/bring in your own alcohol? 8/7/2007 8:13:52 AM |

I went to a wedding/reception at the Graylyn and it was FABULOUS. I'm not sure if the alcohol was provided on site, or if they had to bring it in. But alcohol was a flowing that's for damn sure.
It rained that morning so the wedding was moved in the Atlantis Room (the pool, they cover it up). The reception was all over with different food in each room. Had tables set up in this great room, and seating all outside on the balcony. 8/7/2007 9:16:14 AM |

my friends recently got married in W-S and had their reception at Childress Vineyards. The reception was great and the place was amazing.

While we're on the subject, LADIES of TWW....please PM any fun ideas or places to go for bachelorette parties/lingerie parties/wedding showers. Any ideas are appreciated but don't post them here because the blushing bride made this thread 8/7/2007 9:45:37 PM |

^^I've looked at Childress Vineyards because it's in my home town. It's an awesome place, very beautiful, but a little pricey for what you get and you can't have any drinks other than their wine. 8/8/2007 7:38:55 AM |
