So about 6 months ago I bought a USB 2.0 card from Tiger Direct and installed it in my PC. I'm 99% sure it is this one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1215759&CatId=511 I had my iPod and external hooked into it. It ran fine for a while, but suddenly stopped running at 2.0 speeds and ran at 1.1 speed instead. Even when I plug in a device I get a pop up saying that this device coud run faster if I used 2.0. The stranger part is that I recently moved and when I put my PC together and started it up again it was running 2.0 speed. Then, after about a month it returned to 1.1 speeds. I'm not a computer genious or idiot...but above average. Any help? 8/7/2007 11:52:55 AM |

its likely because you bought an offbrand peripheral card from tigerdirect.
try reseating the card and looking online for updated drivers. I had a usb2.0 card from them, and it never worked reliably. 8/7/2007 12:09:00 PM |
