Hey all,
Here's a link to all the books (prices are marked in captions to make it easy - And, I'll entertain offers other than what's listed, especially if you're grabbing multiple pieces)
http://picasaweb.google.com/stufflebeam/Books4sale
And then the truck...It's a 1977 Chevy C10 1/2 ton pickup. It's been used as a scrap hauling truck for the past few years, and the tranny finally has *maybe* gone. (It'll shift in and out of Park, Reverse, Neutral all day long, and the lack of movement into drive is recent and very well may just be a shift linkage adjustment issue...we're just moving and I've not got the time to mess with it, nor the scrap business anymore, so my lack of interest can be your gain. The steering column is broken and spins a bit, thus the likely source of the transmission problem...but, it very well may need a new transmission...not tough to find on one of these trucks and only 6 bolts to drop it out and attach the new one) Oh yeah, and I *do* have the title for the truck.
Anyhow, there are two catches, but a great ending since I've got to get it gone:
Catches: 1. You're going to need to tow it....as you probably figured out from the info above. 2. The trash in the back goes with it. Luckily, we only live ~1 mile from the public trash/recycling center.
Thus the good ending...the price...$420
And now, some details about it that aren't problems :-)
-has an 8 cyl. 305 (5.0L) that runs like a champ in it -has chrome wheels -I've already stripped down the interior (was planning on a fun restoration and just ran out of funds and time), but I've got everything I yanked out of it, and it's all yours. -full of good parts, in case you want to part it out -new brake rotors and calipers on the front (< 1 year old) -battery that's roughly 3-4 months old -I just dig the thing b/c my first ride was a '77 K5 Blazer...so, it'd be a great project truck too :-)
Just the engine alone could easily make you a decent profit on the deal if you were to part it out. (check some prices on car-part.com, etc.) And if you go that route, you could sell individual parts on eBay, tww, etc. for a ton of money, and then when you get down to whatever's left (probably close to nothing, as LOTS of folks need these parts) you can scrap it at TT&E in Garner or as an partial/almost-whole vehicle at LKQ on 70)
Or, if you want to fix it up, it's just ready for some TLC, some time, and depending on your situation - maybe a little bit of cash.
If we didn't have to get out of this place by the end of the month, I'd be parting it out now, and probably stashing the 305 somewhere to use in some future project.
Ok, so here's the link to the pics:
