How is the memory laid out? Because 4 DIMMs with only 3 gigs of memory seems a little odd. 8/8/2007 11:08:14 PM |

Granted, it just doesn't really make sense why they'd do that. Especially with the huge push towards matched pairs for the past who knows how many years. 8/9/2007 8:13:36 AM |

As Noen said bet a better video card. Any Nvidia Quadro graphics card will be better than the 7350 LE card. Especially if you plan to run two monitors. 8/9/2007 8:26:43 AM |

he doesnt need a quadro.. just a 100 dollar range card would suit his needs much better. 8/9/2007 10:19:30 AM |

both graphic design apps and cad will run fine and nearly any graphics card on the market today... unless he needs to do any 3D work (or run dual monitors), then i'd recommend a more hefty card, but strickly 2D apps, it really shouldn't be an issue. my architecture firm only specs X300 for our cad machines and they power our 22" lcd's just fine. i'd say he doesn't need a Quad core processor either. i'd rather invest in faster memory and a faster hard drive before paying extra for Quad core over Dual core 8/9/2007 4:31:15 PM |
