i'm looking for a rear end for a 95 tahoe, 1500, i guess any gm 1500 truck that year, gear ratio 3.42. mine died and the junkyards want about a grand for the whole assembly. unless somebody here can rebuild rear diff for me, i'll pay. i already have the whole axle asembly out and sitting on a trailer. the ring gear is missing 5 teeth. so that needs to be replaced. i just have no idea how to shim it correctly. send me a msg if you can help and how much you'd want. i checked trans-medics and the want 370 for labor, plus cost of parts. no discount for bringing them just the rear end.

getting gears and a master install kit will be cheaper. colter has a buddy that's local that can set them up for you. shoot him a pm. or 69 could possibly do them for you.



is it 2wd or 4wd? if it's 2wd, 69 has a set of 3.73 gears, and carrier bearings he'll sell you for $60 and set it up for you for $80, you'd only need to get pinion bearings and seals and wheel seals, and possibly spider gears depending on how bad they are
