This beast will print up to 12x18" full tabloid size, on paper up to 110lb weight. Includes stand with thee additional paper trays, bringing its paper input capacity to 3,150 sheets of up to five different sizes/types at once.

None of the consumables should need to be replaced for a good several thousand pages, and all the critical supplies (besides toner) should last well over 20,000 pages!

Note that both these printers are LARGE, and you'll need at least a small truck or SUV to pick them up. They're both on wheels, so moving them around once they're where they need to be is simple. I can help with delivery if needed. 8/26/2007 5:05:15 PM |

Any chance either of these can be separated from the extra paper trays to serve as a table top printer? 8/26/2007 6:21:04 PM |

kowalski: The 7700 separates pretty easily from the bottom three trays (I did so to transport it). The HP only separates from the small stand at the bottom, so if you want tabletop the 7700 would be the way to go.
ComputerGuy: eBay is typically the cheapest. The Phaser 7700 uses separately replacable imaging drums and toner canisters, so it tends to have cheaper toner refill kits available. Neither printer is that bad when it comes to toner (as long as you don't try to buy it from HP or Xerox, heh) 8/26/2007 10:51:43 PM |
