I haven't been but some friends have and didn't really notice anything, though the ranger urged them not to go in (this was during the second series of fires). The first was way towards the southern end, not sure about the second.

^^^they are pretty strict about the burn ban.

pretty much have to go to campgrounds or far from your cars to have a fire and not get fined.

we'll be down in the gorge, but will most likely not make a fire just to be on the safe side

camp stove is gonna be necessary, though
