Couldn't find a thing when I searched, this album just dropped today and is actually really really good. Anyone pick it up, or atleast grab the leak that came out earlier this month? 8/28/2007 7:18:31 PM |

^I HATED Bazooka Tooth. Fast Cars....wasn't fantastic, either.
I fucking love this new one. 8/28/2007 11:46:24 PM |

I'm gonna venture a guess that you got into Aesop Rock when he dropped Labor Days, and more specifically "Daylight".
Am I right? 8/29/2007 11:21:59 AM |

I used to like this dude, until I learned he was white and that his lyrics didn't mean anything. 8/29/2007 1:09:05 PM |

^^nah, it wasn't very long before, though. a friend of mine got me into Float first, and was like "yeah his new one comes out in a couple months (Labor Days)."
Why would you venture that guess, anyway? Is this some futile attempt at trolling?

no, i'm not a troll.
Just guessing, since it seems that most people that 'hate' bazooka tooth were simply expecting another Labor Days.
Personally, I think his music has gotten better and better with each album. Haven't checked this new one out yet, though. 8/29/2007 1:59:24 PM |

it's not that it wasn't even as GOOD, per se, as Labor Days. It was just so disjointed, disconnected, off-kilter that I thought it was some forced effort at something more "artistic" for him. I just couldn't dig it. For the record, though, I'm not one of those you find who think Labor DAys is one of the greatest hip hop albums ever, either. That said, I do love it.
^and unless it's been changed, the entire new album was being hosted on his myspace! the entire album.

Is it just me, or does that sound like that "Chocolate Rain" song?

haha, it kind of does. Awesome.
You gotta love Aesop Rock... I mean, he's got a song called "bring back Pluto" on this album.
Willem: I hear ya, Bazooka Tooth is indeed disjointed as fuck. I think it was kind of intentional, the entire album is darker and more chaotic than anything he's done before. I really like it, but gotta be in the right mood for it. To me, Labor Days was him trying to be more 'artistic'.
I still think one of his best songs is "basic cable". Delicious. 8/30/2007 8:40:57 AM |

agreed. anyone who listens to this album should also hear "fishtales", it was a single that he produced with Jeremy Fish. It is a complement to "The Harbour is Yours" on this album. 9/28/2007 1:54:14 PM |

I like Fishtales a lot better, and was disappointed that it got reworked so that most people are only going to hear The Harbour Is Yours.10/1/2007 6:28:54 PM |
