Im not sure if he did the same method in the past, but now each of his tests (8 tests) will consist of 2 written essays. Then the final exam has two essays and a comprehensive mult. choice section. Did he use this same format of testing when you took him? What types of essay prompts can I expect? I always take a lot of time to write a well formulated essay. Im not sure how I'll do in 50 mins.

wtf, when I had him (maybe 1.5 years ago) it was 3 tests and a final I believe

the first test was all multiple choice and then with the rest he started adding essays

as long as you know enough to write something down you'll be fine, if I recall I BSed a bunch of them and got a good number of points

the essay questions are not really essay per se. You can answer each of them with a paragraph.

he usually tells you what he expects you to know for the exam. The essay questions come out of those objectives he listed at the beginning of the lectures.

i really hate this guy. i mean who gives only 2 essay questions on 11 lrctures?

He didn't put up a practice exam. He only posted the mock essay. There is sooooo much material on this test. I'm feeling pretty scared myself.

i hate him too. although i believe the first exam was fair, his method of testing (2 essays per test) is not effective nor is it helping me gauge my understanding of microbiology.

you guys need to stop your bitching about Hyman. Try taking it with Keen, and then go complain. His essays ain't that hard, you basically just regurgitate the facts on the essays anyway, not a literature analysis.

How do you know the diff between Keen and Hyman? Have you taken them both or just comparing tests?
