I happened to be stopping in the Chev stealer ship today to drop a friend off to pick his new z06 up and looked at the new silverado. Damn it is nice! I liked it so much I ordered one in from a dealer in ATL. I pick that bia up on Thursday. I guess I should have test drove it but they offered me more than I owe on the Tahoe and gave me 0% for 5yrs so I really didn't care what it drove like. So has anyone driven one? Did you like it? Also help me find a way to run Sirius off the factory XM head unit. please!

don't worry, it'll be just as boring and gay as any other silverado.

1. buy sirius tuner w/ fm modulator

2. tune radio to specified frequency

3. ...

4. profit!

^^ not really. You'd lose surround capabilities but correct me if i'm wrong but only HD radio does surround sound. Even still it would be stereo so L/R would be fine you'd just lose F/R. You lose some quality going digital/analog/digital/analog but you more than likely wouldn't be able to tell.

bfg at's aren't any better than ltx's in the wearing a vagina department.

people who have to have a seperate set of "street tires" fall into this category as well.

^^^^

Not saying at's are the most agressive tire in the world but come on, LTX's are by far a more street geared tire. You see people wheeling at's... not so many LTX's out on the trails.

On a slightly related note, have you seen the MT KM2's? I like them.

So true. I guess that's where 90 percent of the stigma of owning one of these trucks comes from.

I have an 02 Z71 model, sans stickers. It's a good truck, quiet and comfortable.

if some one sent me an obx sticker i would rock it for a goof. i cant say i have ever been there though, but isn't that the protocol for having one anyway? ivan do you have an extra one from your used car lot? :flipoff2:

picked it up today. i am pretty damn surprised how well it rides. the 5.3 seems to be a bit more ballsy then the 5.3 in the tahoe. could be 4.10 gears and not as much weight also. so an generally impressed. black ext and black leather is gonna make this bitch hot. i noticed today how nice remote start is for cooling it off before you get in, i do not know how my fat ass lived without it until now....

Pics? I considered the 2007 6.0L 1500 Sierra...but can't sacrifice the cargo space...so now the interest is in the 2007 Tahoe...or perhaps a 3/4 ton 2007 Suburban. If only the 6.0/6.1/6.2 whatever engine would be available in the Tahoe...

if i was in the market for a 1/2 ton, i'd be waiting until the diesels come out. gm and ford are expected to have them around MY 2009.

i have head 09 the suburban will get a duramax. There is a company in colorado who is putting duramax's in tahoes for an extra 30k. as soon as the duramax suburban comes out this silverado will hit the road.

they change the front and rear suspensions. they also do the motor swap, so yes it is a 3/4 ton tahoe.

saw that too.... interesting looking, but i'm the kind of guy that likes it better from the factory i guess. Reading around they're saying they can't get the 6.6 into the new suburbans without doing some lifting/refitting of the transmission hump area. and they don't want to do that because of the "soccer moms", well i don't know many soccer moms buying 3/4 ton suburbans. None the less.... we can always dream
