I'm buying my first car and any help/advice would be appreciated.
I've had a look at a 2005 Mazda3 with a 5-speed manual that's done 32K miles. Any known issues with the Mazda3? I've read tons of reviews on edmunds.com and the like and like what's being said about the car. Also, anything in particular that I should be looking for while test-driving the car or looking over it? I'm a novice, so any advice, however basic it might sound would go a long way.
What about getting the car checked by a mechanic? It is still under the 3 year/36K miles warranty and I remember reading somewhere on here that it might be a good idea to get it checked up at the dealership that is regularly servicing the car...any thoughts on that? If not, please recommend a good mechanic close to campus who would take a look at it.
Thanks. 9/10/2007 11:01:28 PM |

I owned a Mazda3 and power aside it was a perfectly acceptable car.
Obviously you should test drive the car, have it checked out (if its a private seller) and double check to make sure the warranty is actually transferable. Otherwise, solid cars. 9/11/2007 1:01:58 AM |
