So, trying to learn more about this so I'm putting it on an old server at work to learn on...
I keep getting this error during the install
"Could not find the Organization Container"
This is probably/hopefully something retardely easy to fix but I'm unsure what it is.. help, pretty please.

The Exchange Server Analyzer Tool, available as a free download, remotely collects configuration data from each server in the topology and automatically analyzes the data. The resulting report details important configuration issues, potential problems, and nondefault product settings. By following these recommendations, you can achieve better performance, scalability, reliability, and uptime. For more information about the tool or to download the latest versions, see "Microsoft Exchange Analyzers" at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=34707.
try that. 9/21/2007 2:09:39 PM |

In step 3 of this:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125224.aspx
using command: setup /PrepareAD [/OrganizationName: ]
The very first thing MS says it does is
"This command performs the following tasks:
* If the Microsoft Exchange container does not exist, this command creates it under CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=."
but for some reason it's giving me an error about not being able to find the organization container..gr. without the organization container the other tool can't do shit either

K, thanks. For some reason I forgot to do the obvious of looking in the event viewer logs and seeing what the actual error code was.. pretty obvious after a quick googling of the event ID 9/24/2007 10:42:03 AM |
