Seriously has to be user error here, but I can't seem to get a single digital channel in on my television.

What's weird is that I can get the digital channels transmitted openly on Time Warner on my Westinghouse 32" LCD TV in the bedroom.

Or am I missing something? Either way, would like to try and see Heroes via HD on the big screen next week!

are you using a over the air HD antenna for the 2nd tv or a TWC box too? If its the antenna then you probably don't have a built in HD tuner.

There aren't ANY Timewarner boxes in my house.

The Westinghouse TV is connected directly to the cable, yet it gets digital channels, NBC, Fox, PBS (4 or so) for example, with perfect signal.

The Samsung TV is connected directly to the cable, yet it doesn't show a single digital channel, it doesn't show any digital channels when the cable is connect to the AIR connection on the TV either. Yet I am fairly certain this model TV has a built in tuner.

i just looked it up...you're right it does have a tuner. Infact thats the exact same TV I have except mines the 50" version. I've got mine hooked up to a over the air antenna and it looks amazing.

I experienced the same problem you did but with some tweaking I got it working....can't remember exactly what it was but I know I had done two things...

first i had the antenna hooked into the AIR side and second I did some playing around in the menu.

Yeah, what kind of idiots would want something for free that they could pay for?

^^I spent a grand or two for the xbox360 and HD-DVDs. Not for some over priced shitty service that I get for free with a $30 antenna.

First off, the TV wasn't actually purchased with the intent of watching HDTV, but since it has the capability, why not use it.

Second, I don't pay for cable, it is just leaked in with my Road Runner. So why should I pay $100+ / month for "Digital Cable" that has only a handful of channels (I don't want HBO, ESPNx, Showtime), requires me to rent an HD tuner for each TV, and at best only comes in a slightly higher resolution than over the air HDTV?

So, that being said, Golovko did you happen to find out what you tweaked in your menus? I've not gone insane on getting it to work just yet, but I know it shouldn't be that difficult. I fear that I might have to call in Best Buy and have them fix it *shivers*.

There is nothing on any of those channels I'd wantt o see. Rome is over, Sopranos is over. I don't ever watch TV because 1) its boring as hell and nothings ever on 2) commercials.

The only shows I enjoy watching are Lost, Heroes, 24, Law and Order: SVU....and a few others. All of which come on over the air HD. So why pay extra for shit I won't use? thats just me.
