can you do that still? can you walk into an airport, sans ticket, and try and get a standby ticket for any flight?

if you are attempting to fly standby with no status then you should pick your dates/times carefully - and always avoid sunday nights/monday mornings/thursdays after noon/fridays

Last time a flew standby it took a day and a half to make what should have been a 6 hour trip.

nwa charges $25 to fly standby and doesn't guarantee that you'll get on an earlier flight.
