Stupid fucking move by the O's. They are a shity excuse for a MLB team. Its not like Leo really had much to work with. You can't turn complete crap into top quality pitchers. They didn't give him anything to work with. 10/12/2007 3:49:17 PM |

It would be nice if Leo and Glavin came back the same year. I know Glavin collapsed with the Mets at the end of this season, but it would be awesome to see him go out like he deserves. As a Brave. 10/12/2007 3:51:12 PM |

Mazzone did well with that staff. Alot of pitchers on that staff grew up since he got there. Cabrera wasn't making the same shitty mistakes he usually did......Bedard became a cy young type pitcher, and there were 1 or 2 other young guys that were doing well. stupid move 10/12/2007 4:18:06 PM |

Leo helped develop Bedard and both Jeremy Guthie and Adam Loewen were showing promise. I do hope he ends back up in Atlanta as some type of advisor or something, but frankly he did not do a good job in Baltimore.
Maybe if in a couple of years, the Orioles have a bunch of young studs pitchers, then I'll retract that statement, but as of right now, he failed in Baltimore. 10/12/2007 5:07:22 PM |

Mazzone made Erik Bedard arguably the best pitcher in the AL

I thought about saying something like that, coupled with the success of Jeremy Guthrie this year.
But then i thought about:
Daniel Cabrera Jim Hoey Danys Baez Chad Bradford Todd Williams Jaret Wright
and that long stretch of crappy minor-league tryouts we had going toward the middle-end of the season

CC and Beckett might argue with you about that little quote of yours.

I see nothing wrong with any of that. At worse, Rocker makes an all ready shitty bullpen shitty. At best he returns to half his former self and is a superb setup man.

^Maybe that is why I said arguably? How many names have you had terminated now? And why on God's green Earth do you love to troll TWW so much MacGyver?
Oh and BTW here is Bedard's numbers for the year:
Bedard 13-5 3.16 221 Ks for the Orioles no less. Just as good as Beckett, CC, Carmona, Lackey, others. 10/12/2007 10:41:16 PM |
Murdoc Suspended 391 Posts user info edit post |
Yep, but not really. I love when you get OWNED in an argument, your only comeback is how many names I may or may not have had terminated. Bedard isn't even top 5 in the AL, so just get that shit out of here and go try and find something else to act like you know what you are talking about. 10/12/2007 10:58:35 PM |
packboozie All American 17452 Posts user info edit post |
How exactly have I gotten owned?
ANYONE that knows baseball would consider Bedard a top pitcher. STFU.
13-5 with 2nd most Ks in baseball is pretty damn good. The Ks alone show how good his stuff is. 10/12/2007 11:15:44 PM |
Mr E Nigma All American 5450 Posts user info edit post |
Bedard also missed a month and a half. He could have won 17 games for a shitty team, and he would have struck out close to 300 batters. 10/13/2007 12:07:00 AM |
