or you could get a better driving experience by signing up at any HPDE with most car clubs and drive at any track in the US.

mark, i know you like the track and everything.

but you cant beat driving a nascar car (IMO)

specially for $300

you will not get a better deal at an hpde (something you take your car to, spend your gas on, and a whole lotta other things, that you spend money on). plus you get to drive on lowes motor speedway

for $250 that he is asking, its a fairly good deal even tho its just 7 laps.

those things have more horsepower that 2 of your evos put together.

yep, not comparable. I went around Atlanta Motor Speedway and it was a hella lot of fun.

If you can, upgrade the package to the "king" experience, then you get three sessions and the last one is full out as fast as you can get it.

i'd much rather drive a Formula one any day. A hardcare F1 racing spec Ferrari, McLaren-Mercedes, Renault, etc is 1000x cooler than driving a "modified" ford fusion, dodge charger, etc.

i do not see the appeal to rednecks of a ford tarsus racing around the racetrack

they arent that cheap.

maybe a shotgun ride along with maybe an F3 car or something.

you arent gonna find an F1 driving experience similar to this one for $200

even the indy driving experience is more than this.

dude you are not going to find an F1 driving experience for $200.

unless you are a sibling to someone who owns a team or something then there really isnt a way.

england or africa, $200 isnt likely

I'm serious...I did find one. Also found several other 'driving experiences' in England. I wouldn't mind checking them out at some point in my life.

its still a fucking ford or chevy

i guess the plebians in our society prefer a car they can relate too thus ford fusion and dodge charger (wasn't it a taurus and a cavalier earlier in the decade??). Also, the simplicity of driving around a circle will not overload their brains as well as keep them from being too ADD and getting bored.

Kinda like the instant gratification and simplicity of basketball. run down the court, score, repeat. Sometimes i am surprised that football became so popular but most people are probably just want to see big hits and cool catches instead of thinking about the complexity and dynamics of the game. Football btw is my favorite spectator sport.

its called a stock car because pretty much all the cars have to be 'stock' in comparison.

I dont like nascar, but both Golovko and HUR you are both fucking RETARDS.

There is NOTHING stock about these cars outside of the engine BLOCK and the physical dimensions of the body panels. There is NOTHING else similar between a nascar and it's road equivalent. Youd know this if youd ever seen one in person, and sure as shit know it had you ever been inside one.

Second, I dont give a fuck what you CLAIM Golovko, there is NO way you drove a true F1 car for 200 bucks. You might have driven a Kart series or some other open-wheeled racer, but it sure as shit wasnt an F1 car.

not even the blocks are based on anything that's ever been or will be on the road any more. All four manufacturers have purpose designed nascar-specific engines now days.

to each other, n00btard. You aren't going to have a 1000hp nascar vs a 300hp one now are you?

and when the hell did I say I drove an F1 car? I saw it priced for that much but I never did it myself. Only race car i've driven is my DD.

a lot of dumbasses in this thread and i'm certainly not one of them

mark.

you can compare all race series to stock cars.

look at F1. its all stock compared to each other.

look at mazda racers, all stock compared to each other.

you cant play the "nascar is boring so it must be a real crappy type of auto sport" deal here.

its called a stock car because the body/chassis is similar to cars on the market.

you cant call an F1 a stock car because you cant buy a commercially available car on the market that "looks" like an F1 car.

Nascar is boring because driving in an oval at 200mph is boring. You cannot say Nascar is 'exciting' when you have Rally, F1, Le Mans, etc.

but it seems like you are bashing the sport because its boring to you, when it looks like you really dont have much knowledge on the subject.

or any other subject for that matter. F1 driving experience my ass. Like they're going to let anyone off the street go out unaccompanied in a single seater with that level of performance, let alone for $200.

Now someone buy bous' shit.

they can drive Civics with B16's (or whatever these kids are swapping these days) and as long as they have both right and left turn or even dirt...its more entertaining then NASCAR....YAWN Nascar is one step above baseball because there is the potential for cool accidents.

not to mention that in Nascar they throw the caution flag every fucking 20 minutes. I can understand if their is a flame and brimstone accident; or they are trying to get a driver w/ a medical emergency out of a car. Most of the time it is over something stupid like some debris or some random car crashed into the wall. In my opinion nascar drivers should have the skill to keep up the race and avoid the "hazards"
