You must hang around other people with horrible costumes. A costume doesnt work if no one can tell what the fuck it is.

^^^ I would say for that one you would have to REALLY look like him to pull it off, otherwise it will be like you said, everyone will just assume you are white trash that didnt dress up. Would help if you have several people could dress up like other characters from the show
