I'm a nerd, but in recent history all these sort of geek fandom niches have somehow coallesced into the whole perception of what a nerd in society and I don't care for it.

There was a time that all the bizzare little obsessions were all very independantly kinda seperated out and now especially with the internet they've all started to kinda come together and now just because I'm a nerd people assume I like star wars, or star trek, or play D&D, or want to read lord of the rings, comics, etc.etc.etc. So now instead of just being considered smart and awkward they lump in all the obsessive, unkept, non-deoderent using asshat features too. So I whistled for a cab I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror if anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought man forget it yo homes to Bel-Air.
