So I went out with my friend for some Mexican food. I haven't drunk any alcohol in over 2 months, but they were out of non-alcoholic beer, so I figured what the hell. I had 3 beers and felt fine.

Then we went back to my friend's place, chilled for a bit, and smoked a bowl. I felt fine after that, too.

Then we stepped outside and smoked a cigarette. After about three drags, I started to feel funny. Really funny. There was this sudden enormous head-buzz, and I tried to play it off, but then I find myself leaning against the porch railing, and then suddenly I'm collapsing onto the deck. My friend helps me up, and he's like, "You all right?" and I say yeah.

We talk a little bit more, but I can't talk. All my concentration is absorbed by the task of standing up. I grab the railing and collapse again. My legs are really weak, and my brain can't deal with the task of keeping me on my feet. My friend helps me up again, and we go inside and sit down.

Sitting down, I feel a lot better, and calm down a bit. I'm buzzing REALLY strong...much stronger, more intense, sharper than anything I've ever felt off pot. It felt just like I was tripping. We talk for awhile, realize I'm having a flashback, and about an hour later I drive home. The weed-buzz faded pretty quickly, but I still felt like I was tripping when I went to bed, and I still feel it to some degree.

I'd never met anyone who'd had a flashback, but they are definitely real. All in all, it was pretty interesting...a nice monotony-breaker

to the topic poster.....sounds like you'd been a while without a decent crossbuzz... i dont know about qualifying that as flashback just because the ones i hear about seem to all involve being more sober, and being sent back to a specific trip by a specific part of the setting they were in

why had you stayed away from the beer for months??

yeah, from posts in this thread, it seems like this isn't the classic "flashback" scenario...I've always had bad crossbuzzes, it's been better to keep 'em separate...but it felt exactly like a trip, the same sharpness, the same at-peaceness

I stayed off alcohol for 2 months cuz I'm the kinda guy that, every time he drinks a beer, ends up getting shit-faced...and bad shit usually happens when I get shit-faced

you know, im still in drug treatment, in the advanced stages. and i do lots of kids of research about lots of different things, so i'll have things to talk to my groups about to keep them interested in the meetings and keep them coming back to treatment. (cause being sober is only like 20% of the battle haha)

like flashbacks presenting as panic attacks

hallucination from amphetamine vs hallucination from lsd/mushroom/research chemical

etc etc

so as someone who has actually done research papers on all sorts of stuff like this, i think i have the right to laugh just wanted to present my "wacky" credentials
