I've worked in high quality microbreweries and known many a fine brewer. And hey, get this, every damn one of them loved PBR.

That's pretty much how I see it as well.

Though, admittedly, there is no beer that has a taste appeal to everyone. So some may very well just not like PBR. However, from my experiences, it has been more of a dislike based on low price vs. the actual quality of the beer.

Hell, it's almost impossible to find PBR in Ft Lauderdale at all. Not real happy about it.

Tis one of my favorite beach/boat beers. Light to the taste, light on the alcohol. Great beer for long days out in the sun.

in other news, there was a story on tv tonight about how the price of hops in the US is going up apprx 300% this coming season due to the increasing demand for ethanol (corn)

farmers are growing less hops in favor of more profitable corn, so breweries are going to have a harder time getting hops


so expect good (domestic/microbrewed) beer to take a hit

wrong. with the exeption of bottle conditioned beers, imports have just as much chemicals/preservatives in them as american macro brew.

but on the topic. unfiltered/unpasteurized/bottle conditioned beers tend to be better for preventing hangovers because of the lack of preservatives and the vitamin B found in then the beer.
