This place has some of the best food I've ever had in the Triangle. If you haven't been there before, you should really go try it out. I like the Chicken Shawirma myself...

i'm not sure how other med restaurant even get customers w/ neomonde in town.

neomonde not only has the best hummus, they have the best chicken salad, best tuna salad, best fatoush, best fava beans, best baklava, best grape leaves, etc etc

i live in fl now and every time i come back to nc i go to neomonde for dinner at least once and bring back lots of chicken salad and hummus to eat during the week

^^ i forgot the stuffed grape leaves so i am going to edit my post:

haha oh shit... didn't know it is a restaurant. i thought metalred was saying that baba ghannouj (the APPETIZER) was the best type of hummus he has ever had.

the 6 most common mediterranean/levantine/greek appetizers:

hummus
tabbouleh
baba ghannouj
mutabbal
fattoush
stuffed grape leaves

and also, ful (pronounced FOOL) is an amazing dish from arab countries, originally from egypt. it is fava beans that have been slow cooked in a huge copper pot for like half a day, so they all disintegrate. it is served with olive oil, chopped tomatoes, cumin powder, and garlic, and eaten with pita bread. AMAZING. it is served as a main meal rather than as an appetizer. and damn, it fills you up for like 8 hours.

god damn, my mouth is watering after perusing those wiki pages. i leave you with this amazing resource to explore:

It's easy, they serve hot meals. I went to Neomonde once expecting a baba ghannouj type place. they warmed me up a chicken pita in A MICROWAVE.

Yeah, I don't get the big deal with Neomonde. The one in RTP at least was WAY overpriced for what you got. I can think of cheaper and better places to go in the Triangle.

i guess they should apologize for not being the kind of restaurant you wanted them to be. They are basically a deli, they have hot items but not for stupid stuff like a chicken pita.
