I don't think I'll ever go to any reunions (my 10th will be sometime next year). I'm still in touch with the only people I really cared about, the rest I either hated, was indifferent to, or wouldn't show up at a reunion anyway. I think reunions are for people whose best years are already behind them. Someone actually tried to organize a 7-year reunion, of all things; I heard it never happened for lack of interest.

Facebook and Myspace has remedied my need, or desire, to go to a high school reunion. The ones that I was friends with, lost touch with and then wonder, "what are they doing now?" all I have to do is go to one of those sites.

The ones I'm still friends with I still see...maybe not as regularly as I would like, but it's all good.

Plus, every Thanksgiving Eve is essentially a HS reunion in Kinston--everyone goes to the House of Wang to see old friends and get sloshed.

I might go to my tenth, but it would only be to see one or two folks that I still keep up with. I would rather have an elementary school reunion-- those are the folks I care more about (up north) than the people I just happened to have graduated high school with (down south)
