i had pneumonia last year, though the doc never said what type, other than it not being walking pneumonia. i got some heavy duty meds, and just rested for 2 weeks

and try not to laugh/lay down ( i slept at nearly a 45 degree angle). it just makes life miserable

you could see the pneumonia in the chest x ray, the phlegm itself covered up half of my heart its starting to subside now though, but everyone else has it too.........im afraid because its bacterial its just gonna hang around our house and everyones gonna keep getting it

once you fight off an infection, you're not going to reinfect yourself with something in your house that was "contaminated"

that's the whole deal with immunity

its not just a bug its a bad bacteria....keep the vitamin c consumption on high


^ the doctors said that because its bacterial that i CAN get reinfected so stop trying to be smug(i understand immunity) it only works for a virus

my main area of concern is the life of the bacterial spores so that i know when im in the clear

^ what i meant by bug was any idea the specific species? i.e. staph aureus, aspergillus, strep pneumo, h. influenza, etc.

^^ and that is kind of a misconception...most healthy people have a short window of immunity after they contract an infection, but that doesnt mean they can reinnoculate themselves with the same bug a few weeks later

my parents have this right now. First my little sister got it, then mom and now dad has it. They've been taking a bunch of antibiotics and have had to go to the ER to get fluids via IV.

Glad they live like 1300 miles away
