Loaded for war, the Wisconsin is/was about 10,000 tons heavier, 5 knots faster, and 160 feet longer.
I've been aboard the North Carolina and the Wisonsin's sister ship, the New Jersey. The NJ/WI are noticeably larger, even from an on-board perspective.

I'm a big fan of the North Carolina but definitely want to see one of the Iowa-class ships someday. Pretty much the ultimate evolution of the battleship, and a lot bigger than the North Carolina-class (or the South Dakota-class, which came in between the two and were smaller than both)...

it's actually less interesting than USS North Carolina....

very little of it is "open" it's a much more locked down state of mothballs than NC

you can't climb all over it, or go inside much of any of it.

100ft longer than NC, similar main battery (45 cal vs 50 cal (iowa's longer range)) same 5" secondary...

Wisconson is faster and has thicker deck armor...

on a warship basis, Wisconsin over North Carolina, but to visit? North Carolina over Wisconsin

I've heard that sometime in the next few years the North Carolina is going to need some work done on the hull that will require it to be towed to Newport News to be put in a dry dock. I'm definitely going to have to make the trip down to Wilmington to see her in motion for the first time in 46 years...
