Hey WolfWebers,
You may have heard that there is a marathon in Raleigh this Sunday. Raleigh Running Outfitters is putting it together and it looks to be pretty large (~1000 marathon and 2000 1/2 marathon).

They are still in need of some volunteers to help monitor the course. Basically you just hang out on Sunday from 8:00am-1:30pm. The only catch is a weeknight meeting with the Raleigh PD get instructions. If you have the time it'd be appreciated!!

Hey all,
Just another reminder of the upcoming meetings on Wednesday & Thursday with Raleigh PD. The meetings will be held from 6:30 - 7:00pm on both nights, please only come to one. Lt. O'neill will be giving us final instructions. The course has been broken into segments and we have captains to check on race day, to make sure all intersections are staffed, if you have any trouble you can call your captain. I will be handing out lists with the appropriate names and numbers. Also, we will be handing out the Volunteer T-shirts.
Please try and either mapquest your assigned intersection, or drive and find it by race day, to help acclimate yourself with your area. Most intersections are residential or smaller streets off of downtown streets that will be closed, so hopefully you can find ample parking right at your intersection. Again, with the meetings, it should make things flow easier on race day for everyone. By having the meetings earlier, it will allow you to report directly to your intersection, and hopefully have a good time, helping out and enjoying the event.
