fliers just get thrown on the ground, and it's a huge waste of paper, and people tend to avoid you if you're trying to hand them something. don't do it.

well ... since im not the one throwing the flyer on the ground nor when I attended state did I ever do that. i suggest you go after the ppl who DO throw them down... attack the real problem here buddy... teach them where the trash can is... thanks for the opinion.... once again...

same goes for putting flyers on my windshield. I throw that shit on the ground because its not my trash and my car is not your trash bin. (i don't mean that directly at you unless you have done this in the past)

if you don't hand people fliers, they won't throw them away. and putting them in the recycling bin would be the best.. and yes, i do pick up the inserts from the technician that people throw on the ground and put them in the recycling. but if they weren't there in the first place, it wouldn't be a problem.

and what's the difference between that and hiring people to hand out paper? it's the same thing if you get right down to it. you're trying to get people to go to some club or whatever. except if you chalk, people won't be tempted to litter, and more people will see the ad because it stays up there all day. when the fliers run out, that's when new people stop seeing them. i have nothing against you, honestly, it just makes me mad when people are handing out fliers only to have people throw them on the ground 2 seconds later. like, literally, somebody hands somebody else a flier, 2 steps later the flier is on the ground. aren't any lessons being learned here?


so props for trying to find alternate methods to get your ad out. here's some ideas:
--if you go around and post your flier on some doors/walls it might work better.
--what if you made business card sized things, with a cool picture or something on one side and the ad/free pass on the other side? then people might keep it because of the cool graphic, perhaps use it as a bookmark or something. plus, that's easy to just stick in a back pocket instead of being a huge sheet of paper that gets thrown on the ground.
--make a facebook event and invite everyone. facebook is a really great way to advertise, plus it's free, plus there's no littering!

Im with you guys... i hated that shit too when the courtyard was full of stuff on the ground... esp begining of the year... as i said in the begining its my client that needs it so im just posting it on here for him... however other than just asking ppl to do it, i personally would love to find alternative methods.... im a web developer and have already covered the ground when it comes to facebook, myspace and online ads... it all ab getting it out to ppl who dont use that stuff....

as for alternative methods from amazon... they're great! I will def. pass this on and make sure they use the methods you guys mentioned and not the fliers Thanks a million!
