I think the spell checker is stuck on Australian English, I get "color" and "neighbor" and "behavior" flagged and it tells me to put a u in there. this is aggravating and telling it to use english (US) doesnt seem to fix it.
perhaps its the MAE lab template...
any help? 10/30/2007 10:14:59 PM |

Seems like the "Detect language automatically" checkbox in the "Set language" menu is what is changing it. Double check that your timezone is set correctly on your PC clock. 10/30/2007 10:20:30 PM |

are you talking about the set language menu in Office Tools > Office 2007 Language Settings ? (its own program) or some other menu within Word?
I checked that one and the only language enabled for editing is US English. I've checked the language settings in the control panel. It does not happen in new documents - only those created from lab report "template" file, which is a regular word 2003 file with some creative formatting.
so it's document-related, at least.
