I guess that's what living in a subdivision gives you.

It's odd being at home on Halloween.

Certain kids you can say "take all you want" and other kids you have to say "take a handful." Cause some kids is greedy. If you see a running van parked in front of your house it means you need to go with the latter.

ehe we already got a pair. one of them was wearing a black shirt that had the kikkoman soy sauce label/logo on the front, and the printed out nutritional info on the back, and jeans and a cap. I didn't know if I wanted to commend him on an easy costume or ask why he was so lazy.

I told my co-workers that I was going to put my truck up on jack stands and make a sign pointing under it that says "free candy." Not scary at all to the kids, but I bet their parents would freak out. lol.

i was never big on Halloween.

i felt bad asking my parents to buy me an overpriced outfit that i'd only wear for one night. (guess i'd make a pretty awesome daughter huh)

if i dressed up, i'd put the outfit together from different articles of clothing, and if i needed something unique i'd buy it, but i never bought one of those full out costumes (except for a red power ranger outfit one year)

My mom and I generally made my costumes (because I always wanted to be something weird), but when we did buy a store bought one she'd let me wear it around the house/to school to get the most out of it. <3

when i was 8 i got into a car accident and had a cast on my right leg. it happened before halloween, but i still needed it on for a loong time. i used the cast and fake blood and had the coolest costume, i put my arm in a sling and had one of those bandages wrapped around my head and eye.

i walked with a natural limp because of my leg. so it was good to go

^that sounds like an awesome costume.

we had like a 30min-hour slump with no trick-or-treaters. it's odd, because there are a TON of kids in this neighborhood. we've had a few since.

we had a few little kids in cute costumes come early.

later all the middle schoolers starting showing up. the one kid in the group who had at least put something on in an attempt to have a costume would ring the doorbell and then the rest of them would appear out of nowhere when the candy came out. it was pretty funny.

i don't think it should be that hard to throw on a jersey or something and at least try to be dressed up.

I had a group that had no costumes except one kid. He had a beard painted on and was wearing big sunglasses. He looked like Kanye west. Not one of them said anything the whole time.

I am a punk for giving kids candy when they don't even ask for it.

my mom made all my clothes up until like 2nd grade, so costumes were too obviously.

im embarrassed to say that for most of my small childhood i looked like a straight out of colorado city mormon. . . and one year i was a hershey kiss.
