I'm on the "Do not Call" list and I just got an automated credit card solicitation. I pressed 9 to speak with a representative and the operator said "card services". I said "yes, I would like to know the name of your company and the number you're calling from." She said 1-800-622-7477 and hung up on me... I called the number and it's a sex line... ideas?

Do you not have caller ID?

If you think they won't give up their company name, rep name, and whatnot, play along so that you can weasel it out of them.


Start keeping logs of calls, so you can give lots of info to the FTC
