Most BMW people here are going to point you to Shade Tree Garage. The problem, however, is I doubt you are going to get much priority coming in for the first time only for an oil change. call them and see when they can work you in.

I have been there and yes they do very good work, the only problem is I don't want to have to go all the way to bum fuck Egypt to get a simple oil change 11/7/2007 3:00:00 PM |

Don't you have to reset the computer or something though? 11/7/2007 5:14:09 PM |

well, you don't 'have' to, but it does complain if the service interval is not reset - either a peake or a paperclip should do on the round connector ones. 11/7/2007 5:20:16 PM |

^^ he doesnt have a round connector like youre thinking, the service interval light on his car has to be reset either in the cluster or via the GT1 at the dealer, depending on whether he has an e53 or e70 X5... 11/7/2007 9:20:16 PM |

I think somebody on here has it. If you have a BMW, you should just go ahead and get it, it'll pay itself. 11/7/2007 11:11:25 PM |

i know on my M3 I could reset the service interval light by grounding PIN 7 on the computer port for 10 secs. there might be a similar method for the X5. search on bimmerforums.com 11/8/2007 9:35:51 AM |
