So Im lookin on tdub two nights ago when all of the sudden my internet cuts out. It happens cause the cable company in U Suites, NTC, sucks ass and does it all the time. Someone finally comes out today and tells me that its my brand new Dell and not their internet connection.

I talk to dell for two and a half hrs today doing the exact same driver shit over and over and cant get nething to work so I finally flip out and tell me to send someone out here to fix it. They said no because since I upgraded to vista from XP, by the free CD they sent me, that it was my fault not theirs...even tho Ive been runnin Vista since July w/ 0 problems.

So i finally bitch enough to get them to come out and they are gonna install a new motherboard and ethernet card just to see if its a hardware problem...if not then they said I have to buy a full version of fucking Windows Vista and do a clean install. After fucking spending $1600 w/ dell they want me to spend another fucking 150. fuck windows and dell both.

now im on my POS toshiba laptop that cuts off every 15 minutes cause it overheats and sucks ass....shit cant get ne better

To be fair to Dell, there was an IPV4 to V6 adapter update from windows update that rendered Lenovo T61's wired ethernet adapters useless for a few days if you were one of many unluckily affected.

Of course Lenovo had a patched driver out in a few days.

As long as this is a Dell rant thread...

Seems like the Dell desktops are running about $200-300 more than they were a few months ago. It looks like they have kept the pre-configuration price point the same while removing the included flat panel monitor.

Before you could take their basic $800 system and drop it down to $600 when you removed the monitor. Now that same system is $800 but the "no monitor" option is already selected. Seems like they are trying to sneak in a $200 price increase.

Maybe they just raised priced for the Christmas season. I guess I'll check back after the new year.
