I have a motorola one from about 3 years old, I don't need it anymore because my current apartment has one built in.

you need a repeater or just a bigger antenna for your router. The only way TWC will let you get more than 1 modem is on a commercial account - I've already tried. I had to lurk my neighbors wireless to get my load balancer jiving.
