it can also be used as a verb

like "i'm queued up at mcdonalds"

We have some software at my workplace which is used to report and track problems, and the list of currently open tickets is referred to as the Queue. It pisses me off to no end whenever I see stuff like "I put a call in the que", "ticket was moved to the XXX cue", or, even better, "do you have the Q open?"

It's an oddly spelled word, but it's not that hard, folks. And it's not a fucking single letter.
