Dear time warner,
Why do I have to return my FOURTH cable box with you since August? Can you please make a box that works? The first one refused to record shows, the second one's hard drive failed, and the third one's hard drive gave out as well. More recently, the the green lit "OCAP" on the front is the only indication the box has power since it won't even show a picture. Please stop making me call your service center and be put on hold for 45+ minutes each time only to be told the box must be returned. I missed House and Prison Break because of you, and I can't even watch them online since your internet service is hit and miss as well.

Call and tell them you're fed up and that you're going to be switching to satellite, they should throw you to customer retention which should be able to get you at least a discounted rate on something you're currently getting from Time Warner.

It won't fix your cable box any faster, but at least (if things go properly) you'll wind up with cheaper shitty service rather just shitty service.

is yours a SA8300HDC? casue thats what i have and it is a POS. have to reboot it almost everyday.

^I had one or two of the HDC's before, but of course they broke, too. Now I'm on an 8300 HDC. When I asked the rep how often people ask for the older boxes, she said "a lot".

ha, we had the SA8300HDC for a while - it crashed a bunch, once it booted up in black & white, often booted with no sound, and every week or so would emit this ear-piercing buzz

now we have the older model, the 8000HD (i think) and it works fine, except it freezes every time we watch AMC or Fuse
